Searching For Reuben: My Biblical Black Magic for the Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman Case

R.I.P. Trayvon 1995-2012

Man, Im sitting up here just trying to do me, you know? I mean think about it...being thejesusmetaphor is a hard job riiiigghhtt (always got new poems stomping around in my brain causing a ruckus)? But seriously dough (slang, not bread), I have spent the last few days doing some real soul searching relative to Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman..my heart mourns for the loss of a child created in God's image (RIP Trayvon, youre in God's arms now); Subsequently and consequently (as in most murder cases, as is appropriate), in the spirited public dialectic quickly turning towards fever pitch, in one ear I gotz the vociferous O'Reilly on TV screaming that Trayvon is a truant, suspended from school blah blah which he quite obviously and undeniably believes leads one to the (and he's sure of it) not so specious reasoning that said juvenile (common) behavior indubitably vindicates the stereotype of the hoodie wearing aggressor that forcefully agitated for his own death by trampling that innocent bastion of neighborhood protection, George Zimmerman, also innocent of provocation. Then of course in the other ear you have civil rights leaders buttressing believable arguments that Trayvon was a normal, unintimidating model kid mercilessly gunned down in a cruel murderous act by a ruthless rogue police officer-wanna-be cum overreaching neighborhood watch junkie. Somewhere in the middle of these two poles, the middle path in the spectrum, lies the truth. Zimmerman's neighborhood had a spate of recent break ins, which may have given him cause for concern over unidentified persons in his neighborhood (the 911 operator's advice to suspend pursuit of Trayvon notwithstanding). Trayvon was unarmed, and minorities, myself included, worry that Trayvon was only pursued because he fit a stereotype (long) simmering in the minds of many people today, i.e. that black men, by virtue of blackness, are all miscreants especially ones wearing attire seen in rap videos or movies or vintage episodes of Cops. Many feel that if Trayvon can be "justifiably" killed in cold blood, especially by someone obviously ill tempered, and holstered only with candy and a soda, that any child, for any reason that the shooter deems is appropriate, can be killed. There is outrage that the murder of an unarmed teen shot by an armed intense neighborhood watch patrolman would be unprosecuted and uninvestigated. On the other hand, Florida's law does peculiarly make an allowance for the murder, in self defense if it can be proven that the gunman was in danger, of a person unarmed. The law in essence dictates that such a person can stand his ground and preserve his life without the requirement of being lunged at first. And for certain Zimmerman loyalists there is tenable angst over reverse-racism (by the black panthers calling for his death) and hypersensitivity to what some deem isnt about race at all but that all things are ALWAYS made into the worn dichotomous black/white RACE WAR. The titillating facts in dispute are whether or not Trayvon posed a threat to Zimmerman, whether Zimmerman was injured in self defense by a mischievous villainous youth who fit the description of a robber, or injured by his own self righteous bias, and whether either Trayvon Martin or George Zimmerman has the constitution of character to be either a victim or perpetrator of a crime (or attempted crime). Zimmerman did not appear to be injured in the police surveillance video, Trayvon has been suspended three times from school....and this is the narrative we hear ad nauseum.

It is my intention to bring a biblical perspective to this thing! First of all remember in Genesis when God said of my man Abel, who was unjustifiably slaughtered by his wicked brother Cain, does his blood not cry out to me?
First let us all remember that murder is heinous to God, Leviticus fortifies this standpoint, and we must all be desirous of a full investigation so that someone's murder (an American, a male, a teen, a minority, a soda drinker and Skittles consumer) doesnt pass by unavenged. Life is too precious to sweep under the rug. Trayvon's blood is calling out to Jehovah God even as we speak. Secondly someone is lying. Two contrasting truths cant be true: either Zimmerman is lying or Zimmerman is telling the truth, both cant be the case - either Trayvon viciously attacked, beat and bloodied Zimmerman necessitating a gunshot in self defense, or Zimmerman brazenly and overzealously murdered an innocent teen. In either case, a teen is dead and we need the full facts; Trayvon's supporters do not have the luxury of consulting him for his side of the story, unfortunately. However, even his supporters could be incorrectly, in the same spirit of zeal, incriminating an innocent Zimmerman who tried unsuccessfully to avoid confrontation with an unruly teen who happened to be wearing the same hoodie (Zimmerman and Geraldo Rivera assume) most robbers wear. So Biblically, as a Christian, here's my proposal: I curse the liar within my God given rights, so that justice will ultimately be served. If George Zimmerman is an innocent man, let Trayvon's supporters who call for his death be cursed in spirit (vexed, saddened - but not to despair but unto repentance to the Lord Jesus Christ) and apologize publicly for fomenting malice and aggression of blacks towards whites instead of a civil discourse on law and murder and Florida defense laws. Likewise, if George Zimmerman is guilty: of racism, bias, murder in cold blood, etc let him be cursed in spirit (vexed, saddened - but not to despair but unto repentance to the Lord Jesus Christ) and undergo whatever penalties the law (both of God and state) doles out and his supporters, the same (the Florida police department's conduct and double talk is included in this as well irregardless of the guilty party). And a curse to anyone in spirit (vexed, saddened - but not to despair but unto repentance to the Lord Jesus Christ) that tampers with investigative evidence or corrupts the justice system or the courts by cover up, etc.

I have this authority to bless and curse from Jesus, who himself cursed a fig and said that I would do even greater things than he.

How do you guys like this Biblical "Black Magic?" huh? Fun isnt it? Want this authority? Become an heir with Christ by being a Christian and you can, like Jacob/Israel, curse those that wrong you - like Biggie said BABY-BABAAAAYYYY!!!! Lets curse the "Reuben" in the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case RIGHT NOW AND OFTEN!!!!

But in any case, we mourn for Trayvon...whether lawful or not, a man of God was taken from us and we should all spit on our human natures for allowing murder to defile the Garden of Eden.

----------------/The Quest for Justice/(Adulterous) Reuben; Jacobs Thoughts As He Addresses His Son Reuben on His Death Bed

Your footsteps in the night sudden peals of thunder in the placid
paradise of palms mountains and seas searing sun in the shade sitting
holding hands with my wife, in my dreams, now deceased raining.
I wake up still dreaming peering down on her grave, the drops of
water from the previous storm are now my shed tears on
the memory she left behind lightning strikes. I come to as the flickering candle snuffs. Resistance from Bilhah to your advances met with muffled
screams then moans of pleasure barely audible in the adjoining tent. Bitter betrayal blackness beneath the stars. Benjamin sleeping soundly beside
me...shuffled startled feet of sheep and oxen, then silence lulls me back
to sleep. Rachel's apparition smiling I tremble with rage and betrayal
closing my eyes vengeful vertigo soaring. now standing
before her manic middling midwives coordinating her birth her strained countenance followed by eyes rolling backwards, waning moments
staring only at her son. I stare blankly only at your death and demise
Morning light shining on my face, cocks crowing
donkeys braying Benjamin crying for food awake but still bothered.
Justice has been raped,
truth pillaged,
integrity ransacked
corruption lies within my own bloodline lecherous leech of Leah, a woman
forced on me, the seeds of treachery sown.
shifty, sneaky, surreptitious son, my furtive fury is a fire
the embers burn in Bethlehem
the embers burn in Bethlehem
smoke rises in Edar.
May Ben-oni be my witness that no malice goes unrequited
and no lie unexposed
I will not leave this world, my soul never departing over sands of negligence
until recompense visits the wicked. Reuben salacious until the end
of my respect....but for you only the beginning
of a life vexed - exacting his revenge

forever

[cursed]

------Genesis 9:4-7
But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

-----Leviticus 24:17-18
And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.

--------Romans 8:16-17
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

-------Mark 11:12-14
And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

-----John 14:11-12
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

-----Genesis 35:16-23
And they journeyed from Beth–el; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour. And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also. And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben–oni: but his father called him Benjamin. And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Beth–lehem. And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day. And Israel journeyed, and spread his tent beyond the tower of Edar. And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine: and Israel heard it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:

-----Genesis 49:1-7
And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father. Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou ] it[: he went up to my couch. Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty ] are in[ their habitations. O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall. Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
