+--------Baptism, Finally; Jesus' Thoughts As He Is Baptized By John In The Jordan River

Now I know fully a childhood interrupted
by dreams of waves rippling, any
notions of nondivinity back then hushed
by entrancing winds of Spirit tracing their tangible
fingers gently across my prepubescent
face at random. I'd always longed to press
footprints deep into the banks of the Jordan one day,
fossilizing the enthusiasm for memory, and now…
the time has come. I wade in. Something’s in
the water, something down deep…like great
expectations of a world fallen hoping to rise again.
After plunging and ascending, hand of the prophet
clenched about my wet scalp, the thunderous voice
from skies that seems all too familiar: “THIS
IS MY BELOVED SON IN WHOM I AM WELL
PLEASED.” It feels like reconnecting with
a Father from a past life, two worlds, as a man,
colliding.

----- Matthew 3:13-17
Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased
