---------/THE LAZARUS CHRONICLES PT. 1. Be Jaunty Judea : Jesus' Thoughts For Lazarus Before Calling Him Forth

contented. dried blood stains
your cheeks
you smile in your sleep
resigned to death, inviting
rigor mortis, repelling resuscitation resolutely restive
repulsed at rescue, resilient and reclined
with no regrets
resigned to believe lies that permeate and placate
your consciousness that you failed that success for you
just a facade, (fallacious
reasoning that you were insignificant, and that'd never change)
brainwashed
that bandages are final barriers barricading you from possibility
(wrapped in ageism, racism, sexism, economic inequity
around your nose, mouth, hands, butt)
that wailing women outside your tomb waiting, have waylaid
your wants warring against you (gloating?)
wresting your greatest accomplishments from you and
whittling away your best memories supplanting with your worst -
ones you attempted in life but in death wane
willing your ambitions into white light (of heaven)
but the present moment - a wasteland
that a stone, its weight and enormity notwithstanding
silences you, shrouds suppresses
your standing in the world, and your importance to the world
limiting hope. before you slept
you were exuberant exuding joy it was effulgent an effusive
your sisters both attest to these things (and more), hence
their unabashed crying, chiding me for tarrying
"its too soon [for him] to die"
Judea
land of the prophets, land of kings David, Solomon, Hezekiah
expectant of a miracle, overzealous for military expansion and rule
come then, see a miracle a man
that will become an archetype for all mankind moreover
the message:
that with faith nothing is impossible
that I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me,
though he die, yet shall he live,
and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die
it is never too late to dream, even though (seeming) death suggest
otherwise; amidst boulders, and mourners, and tightly wrapped skepticism
you are not what others slander you about, what they say
means nothing
believe in discontentment
believe that if you have aspirations before their fulfillment
they are never meant to die, only sleep. in unrestrained second chances
.....always......
in resurrection
in the face of all conceivable obstacles
especially

(LAZARUS COME FORTH!!!!)

----/
John 11:4, 11, 43 (above)
But when Jesus heard it he said, "This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it." After saying these things, he said to them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go to awaken him."
