+--------A Centurion In Crisis; The Thoughts Of Longinus After Jesus Died

I ordered those savage back
lacerations, the sordid bidding
of Pilate, ideologue of Caesar, demigod
in Rome with an insatiable bloodlust
who is no god at all. I was his slave of
a Flagrum’s Wooden Handle, the wicked
metal, reprobate bone sewn into
diabolical leather that I raised high above
my smirk of condescension..and then
torqued. And what came of it all but
dark skies and earthquakes, a newfound
sense of incisive foreboding, a mother
whose eyes make my soul want to plunge
into the River Styx for guilt sobbing
uncontrollably for her son? My men know
just as well as I, we all deserve Hades.
We just killed an innocent man.

---------------Luke 23:43-48
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man. And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.
