Man yall, I dont mean to belabor the point - you know, HOW DIS FINE GIRL IN THE RED SHOES DIDNT REQUITE MY ONSLAUGHT OF ROMANTIC ATTRACTION TO HER - but alas, I need to say one more thing. Was it because of my bad dancing to the Macarena? Baby girl, did my multi-colored coat of poor rhythm earn your disdain?? Come on KY, dont throw me into a barren, destitute pit of your rejection just cuz of THAAAAATTT!!! Girlie, you so fine girlie, come on gurrrrrrrlllllll! Give me another chance, babes! I'll keep my coat off if it pleases you?

behold this dreamer cometh

--------------/K.Y. I Guess You Didnt Like My Cool Coat Did You? (Epiphany Party 2012 pt2)

In love and matters of the heart perception is all, indulgent imagination
whispers me to sleep dreaming of hopes subjugated before my expectation
sheaves bowing before me: Sheath and sun and moon
prostrate the world assiduously ascribing to my aspiring (I want you)
a coat of many colors is you and I dancing Macarena
bequeathed by the father of laxity lighthearted and blithe
before your scrutiny laid bare, senile, sagging skin out of touch
you gnashing teeth desert sands of hatred jealous of the
disparities of brash youth and naiveté juxtaposed with mature sensibility
a girl who moves like Jagger...me not so much
I see flocks in Shechem as a bonding mechanism - a DJ's playlist a catalyst
to be near you
to ingratiate my heart to yours but my futility is seen by all wandering
in the field, your body is beside mine but your mind with a new guy Dothan
but I will chase you there
(here comes this dreamer full of grandiose untenable fantasy)
Reuben is your machinations on cutting this night short
perhaps an evil sharp fanged beast of disassociation will be famished
your laconic responses to my chatter a pit in the wilderness
empty bereft of food and water dire
you were nice enough not to shed my blood (ignore me completely)
limitations of time are like Ishmeelites willing to make a quick profit
a band of traders is this evening drawing to a close
camels, horses and spices of memories treading down the road of years
my propositions unheralded you walk away never coming back. Judah
is my last indignity suffered as you dance with a potential beau as I depart
worth gold to you but me
only twenty pieces of silver dragged to Egypt

Genesis 37:1-4, 13-28
And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan. These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report. Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I. And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem. And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou? And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks. And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan. And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him. And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams. And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him. And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again. And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt. And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood? Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content. Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.
