Till My Dreams Come True

* dedicated to my future wife (who is she?)

The sun stopped in midheaven,
and did not hurry to set for about a whole day.

------------------------------------[Dreams Come True: The thoughts of Joshua, battling the Amorites]

No one likes to relinquish dreams
to the endless spectrum of possibilities
of thoughts
of daydreaming and nightmares
waking in cold sweats and gazing aimlessly while battles rage on
how the universe
is comprised of a vast array of stars; a bastion of great lights
above
and ether
below
trying to comprehend the greatness of the heavenly expanse
when (at certain times) you can hold your arms to the sky
seemingly able to clasp clouds in your palms
those moments crystallize as longings in your heart
rapidly beating on the cusp of obtaining your desire
of inhabiting lands promised to you
after 40 long years of triumph and defeat
after lifting your staff and crossing the Jordan river through the center
on dry land soldiers marched
and priests carried the Ark
never stopping…perpetually hopeful
of rest

And you wont let opportunity pass you by
or the Amorites disappear into darkness
on the eve of obtaining everything you ever wanted
so you grab the sun (in Gibeon)
so you squeeze the moon (in the valley of Aijalon)
"STOP" you tell them..."DON'T MOVE"
Please stay,
until all my dreams come true

--------------------------------------------------
On the day when the LORD gave the Amorites over to the Israelites,
Joshua spoke to the LORD;
and he said in the sight of Israel,
"Sun, stand still at Gibeon, and Moon, in the valley of Aijalon."
And the sun stood still,
and the moon stopped,
until the nation took vengeance on their enemies.

Is this not written in the Book of Jashar?
The sun stopped in midheaven,
and did not hurry to set for about a whole day.
There has been no day like it before or since,
when the LORD heeded a human voice;
for the LORD fought for Israel. [Joshua 10:12-14]
