+---------- I Cant Sleep; Judas' Thoughts The Night After He Agreed To Betray Jesus For 30 Silver Pieces

My bedsheets drenched.
Sweat from my brow, neck
pouring profusely, the river of life
running from Adam’s serpent-crisis,
splitting into four tributaries; my sleep
snatched by moon rays
of conniving. I stare in the mirror,
I see the dark angel wrapping its
wings around me. I blink, now Im
alone again. Shifting 2 pieces of silver
in my hands trembling, 28 on
the lampstand. I remember asking
the Pharisees “Is blood the price
of revolution?” to no response.
I can only hope when Jesus dies,
clarity of conscience comes. And…
the real Elijah makes sense of
the chaos Im stirring.

Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over; As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly; While he was still speaking a crowd came up, and the man who was called Judas, one of the Twelve, was leading them. He approached Jesus to kiss him, but Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” When Jesus’ followers saw what was going to happen, they said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?” And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.
