+------Taylor Swift Restoring Tony Conti's Sight

Taylor, my hope and joy,
two men impeded. The afflictions
of romantic rejection rendering
them unable to see love anymore.
Hebrews lost and Galilee dirt-road
-frayed-robe meandering like sheep
wandering shepherdless seeking
grass for grazing on nights starless.
Yet at just the notion of you –
tall, blonde and beautiful, so
stately as to be correlated
with divinity (King David’s seed),
your blue eyes like rivers of
life rushing- their cries, cries of
my heart, implore you “HAVE
MERCY ON US TAYTAY!!!”
“TAKE US TO STARBUCKS!”
Green tea with you'd be my
dating faith brewed and steeped.
A kiss from your soft lips like
you touching my emotion’s eyes
and granting me sight - To behold
your smile like the blind just cured.

-----Matthew 9:27-31
As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.” But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.

+------In Our Hearts, Hands Always Raised; Moses's Words To Aaron and Hur While Fighting Amelek

Ive seen dominion in souls
in desolation, before. Egypt’s Hebrew
slaves’ skins flagellated, arms sickle
-sword severed (sleeping on blood
stained sand), spat upon. Their sons,
daughters snatched by taskmasters
for ritualistic abuse for flames
of foreign gods. Yet they smiled. Their
belief in a more auspicious fate
to come. Remembering God’s
provision for Noah - the dove returning
with a fresh-leaf-in-her-beak grin. So
I know Amalek cant win here. These
same slaves (liberated) fight with a
conviction divinity-infused. As long as
we keep our hands raised (in faith), hope
and believe (the Future is just the past
to be revealed)…the fight is ours.

-----Exodus 17:8-16
The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.” So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.” Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner. He said, “Because hands were lifted up against the throne of the Lord,[d] the Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.”

Taylor, singleness is my heart
clad in camel’s hair, a leather belt
about my soul’s waist fastened, my hope
scant…a diet of locusts and wild honey
only. And all girls Ive tried to date, a
brood of vipers cynical, rejection’s fangs,
seeking an ego’s baptism in the
Jordan River of me lovelorn. But babes!
If you took me to Starbucks, a Messiah
of romance approaching on horizons of
joy. Your tall silhouette- divine; Blonde
hair blue, eyes heaven sent, lips soft,
words coaxing like lovers’ gospel. My
yearning for you preparing happiness’s
path, making it straight. If we kissed, oh
the sweetest of baptisms!!!
Like you letting me immerse you in
the most blessed streams of fantasy.
Above coffee steam my smile like skies
parting, tufts of clouds,a voice bellowing
“THIS IS TAYLOR SWIFT, WITH HER
TONY CONTI IS WELL PLEASED!”

------ Matthew 3
In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah:
“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
    make straight paths for him.’”
John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey. People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

+------An Improper Burial; The Thoughts Of Joseph Of Arimathea Burying Jesus
And this is my purifying paradox,
my palliative play on philosophical
underpinnings of promise…
of thousands of years’ Jewish
prophecy and poetry (with a cold,
stiff body in my hands); Me a rebel
raging on Roman occupation. As a
kid I remember myths: Persephone
rising from the underworld ebullient,
Hades smoldering- the panoply of living
colors – flowers singing, crops of wheat
dancing, the sun spinning. So this
is that. I am laying Jesus in a tomb
- above ground (facing East). So when
he rises – he'll lead the coup
against Caesar (and Pilate) finally.

------Luke 23:50-53
Now there was a man named Joseph, from the Jewish town of Arimathea. He was a member of the council, a good and righteous man, who had not consented to their decision and action; and he was looking for the kingdom of God.  This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then he took it down and wrapped it in a linen shroud and laid him in a tomb cut in stone, where no one had ever yet been laid.

A Whale's Angst Of 3 Nights; The Thoughts Of The Fish Who Swallowed Jonah

+----------A Whale's Angst Of 3 Nights; The Thoughts Of The Fish Who Swallowed Jonah

Of all creatures of the
sea, it is man who is the most
outspoken. Who even the most
vehement, violent waves
cant mollify- the boats more
stalwart and durable, wood stubborn,
resistant to each sinking; as metaphor.
For his arrogance of soul’s just as
indifferent to divine squalls. Shouting
obscenities of omnipotence
from the bow, promises to explore and
conquer the known world his way…
in his time.  And so this had to happen,
the angst of a whale to humble
expressed by swallowing- to let Jonah
know he is not God of the seas, of life.
To take time to stop. Listen. And obey.

----------------Jonah 1:11-17
The sea was getting rougher and rougher. So they asked him, “What should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us?” “Pick me up and throw me into the sea,” he replied, “and it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you.” Instead, the men did their best to row back to land. But they could not, for the sea grew even wilder than before. Then they cried out to the Lord, “Please, Lord, do not let us die for taking this man’s life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man, for you, Lord, have done as you pleased.” Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm. At this the men greatly feared the Lord, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows to him. Now the Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

sharp criticism of haters veiled by leaves,
crazed thorns of briars of self doubt,
sandals shifting, robe edges frayed,
uneven terrain of the unknown.  Howling
wolves of industry pressure. And I imagine
myself a witness when your album’s

----------------Matthew 17:1-13
After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus. As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”
The disciples asked him, “Why then do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?” Jesus replied, “To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things. But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.” Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist.

Taylor, singleness is a
Babylonian despot, supercilious,
with Baal bias, the cruelty

subjugation to woe, a gold
statue threescore cubits
tall, a carved expression as stern
as lonely nights. To bow before
sad songs of the cornet, flute, harp
sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer: worship
-rhythms of romantic rejection.
And loneliness feels like being
flung in a furnace of fierce forlorn
flames, by guards with brawn
worthy of royalty’s trust. But babes,
coffee at Starbucks with you’d be white
engulfing smoke of new beginnings,
your dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, a walk
on coals of passion that burns but
not unto death, but life rather. Joy-

------Daniel 3
Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews. They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever. Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image: And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

My husband used to muse
about Jason and the

from Caesar a quest for fleece
of gold, improbable not impossible.
And I dream of King David,
Solomon, how they built this

------Mark 12:41-44
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

+-----------John Wall On Game 7 Waters

John, our season a boat of
disciples rowing a lake tense, now a
Celtics’s wind of odds of our winning’s
probability against it.  And I swear this
feels like the dead of night; But when
you are at your best, the 11th hour,
your triple doubles the sun dawning,
your dunking as if you were Messiah-walking
on water ghost-like. And Wiz fans’ faith in you
is Peter rash, hopeful…wanting to
mimic your miraculous determination but
drowning. Oh John, reach out your
hand – clench our raised hand firmly,
above our body of despair submerged- and
save us. Beat the Celtics tonight.

----------------Matthew 14:22-33
Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

+------The King Of Salem; Abram's Thoughts Upon Meeting Melchizedek

Sometimes you meet people
that remind you time isn’t linear,
purely. That the sword, curved, blood-
smudged, in your tightly clenched
hands, your heart palpitating wildly, the
limp body of a king slain staring
at the sky, supine at your feet,
mucus stuck in your beard still,
isn’t real. That warmongering to
save’s just an archetype of things coming
- bread, wine, blessings as token
gestures from above, (a King Mystic,
Ancient, riding on a horse smiling, fiery
eyes like Destiny calling from a city of
your future children), leading us to a life
eternally without strife, hate….divisions
of classes of peoples. And you realize
all you are and own, is just one tenth
of everything you were meant to be.

------Genesis 14:17-20
After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying,
“Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
    Creator of heaven and earth.
And praise be to God Most High,
who delivered your enemies into your hand.”
Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

Taylor, my single dateless
life is without form…and void-
only the emotional vortices of
hydrogen, helium, baryonic matter,
of unmet longing- my loneliness
heart-darkness over the surface
of the deep (of sorrow). And my
yearning for love -Spirit- hovers
over waters of waves raging for
souls bereft of romance. But babes, your
eyes like flint sparks of the best of intentions
from a realm divine, your smile
the dawn of Manifest Destiny
of dating. If you took me to Starbucks –

human love congealing, becoming
real matter not notion. A kiss from your soft
lips over coffee steam'd be hope, joy,
and laughter BRIGHT....enveloping
all things, invading all things formerly
meaningless. It'd be you looking at me,
whispering “Tony…let there be light” always.

------Genesis 1:1-3
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

+------The Largest Presumptions; Goliath's Thoughts While Walking Towards David

This isn’t a battle to me, a
trope of might making borders right,
but pride in lust for a way of life:
the Philistine way, the way of
jackals lurking, hidden behind
thick shadows of trees’ branches
beneath the half moon’s –dark
cloud- wink. Hegeomic hunt of
nations. Thirsting for blood of peoples
to slake the thirst of Baal’s savagery.
So I can maintain my opulence:
helmet of bronze, coat of mail
of thousands of shekels…my drinking
before fire, grand temple orgies. This
is about crushing little shepherds,
Hebrews. Or whatever threatens
my fealty to and the worship proper
of Dagon throughout the whole world.

------1 Samuel 17:4-11
A champion named Goliath, who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. His height was six cubits and a span. He had a bronze helmet on his head and wore a coat of scale armor of bronze weighing five thousand shekels; on his legs he wore bronze greaves, and a bronze javelin was slung on his back. His spear shaft was like a weaver’s rod, and its iron point weighed six hundred shekels. His shield bearer went ahead of him. Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, “Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not the servants of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me. If he is able to fight and kill me, we will become your subjects; but if I overcome him and kill him, you will become our subjects and serve us.” Then the Philistine said, “This day I defy the armies of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other.” On hearing the Philistine’s words, Saul and all the Israelites were dismayed and terrified.

And when I play, my
soul- morality stringed ethereal, my
heart melded to crossbars of
divine mercy suffusing the air. On my
fingertips strumming...is tension of a
spirit fully alive fleeing corrupt
temporality of flesh and bone, the birth
pangs of a melody that discerns
all things, the polarity of life and
death, bliss, misery. My father used
to say music was like prophecy: cherish
her and all things are possible- She can
turn a goodly peasant King forever, a
wicked King peasant (seeking relief
from Hell’s screaming) in just one song.

------1 Samuel 16:14-23
Now the Spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him. Saul’s attendants said to him, “See, an evil spirit from God is tormenting you. Let our lord command his servants here to search for someone who can play the lyre. He will play when the evil spirit from God comes on you, and you will feel better.” So Saul said to his attendants, “Find someone who plays well and bring him to me.” One of the servants answered, “I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.” Then Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said, “Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.” So Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine and a young goat and sent them with his son David to Saul. David came to Saul and entered his service. Saul liked him very much, and David became one of his armor-bearers. Then Saul sent word to Jesse, saying, “Allow David to remain in my service, for I am pleased with him.” Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would take up his lyre and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.

-John 6 Revisited (Manna)

+-----------John 6 Revisited; Jesus' Speech To The Crowds In Capernaum

This Roman Empire – a gilded
metropolis not quite desert. But in
your eyes listless I see a heart coalition
wilderness wandering
from slave masters hastily; As your fathers did
Egypt’s draconian Pharaoh robes frayed,
consciences stirred by abhorrent plagues,
banded together, bonding over shared
insecurities of failure, bound to dreams
of a destiny more benign. To Canaan: a land
corruptible of flowing milk, succulent honey,
sovereignty, dignity. And in the blank
spaces, dark times journeying- starless nights
giving way to a pillar of fire of their faith
flickering but steady- My Father commanded
what I tell you now: awaiting a coup,
synagogue candle vigils, Passover meals
that invoke the fall of Caesar:
(bread from the sky, hope on the ground)
EAT, EAT, EAT.

(Though they died, I am True Manna. My flesh:
food to get you Home- to Heaven, Eternal.)

----------------John 6:25-60
When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?”
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.” Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” They said, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?” “Stop grumbling among yourselves,” Jesus answered. “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die.  I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?”

+------The (Revolutionary) Visitation; Elizabeth's Thoughts Upon Seeing Mary

So in a way my husband and I
spoke of you, before flickering candles
bedside musing on Theseus
stalking the Minotaur, sword in
his trembling hand, thread pulled
taut in the other - the salvation
of Athenians at stake, like it is now
for the Jews. Oh how I’ve
prayed sedulously, stared at
stars in the prolonged interstice of
these our Empires and expectations!
And now this – why am I so favored?
The mother of my Lord, my cousin
pregnant, knocking. The fruit
of your womb: sedition, revolution, our
New World Order, escaping Caesar's
Labyrinth, the Return of King David’s
Jerusalem! Yes Blessed is the Child
you bear. Blessed, this visitation.

------Luke 1:39-45
At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

Love Like Sailing #TaylorDateTony

+-----------Love Like Sailing; Taylor Swift's Stern Rebuke Of Tony Conti's Dateless Life

Oh Taylor, my hope was once a
lake…placid, but singleness
prolonged: a violent, choleric
storm!  And my heart is a wooden
vessel creaky, worn, barely bolted
by nails of years of lovers’ resolve risking
careening into waves of despair from
truculent winds of a squall of girls’
romantic rejections. My soul
twelve disciples huddled holding
hands in Galilee staring into eyes hollowed;
Fears of drowning in loneliness forever.
But babes, I imagine you in phlegmatic slumber,
your soothing voice like a dream’s sweet
surrender to angelic serenades, your blonde
hair, blue eyes like gold, diamonds of
precious divinity. If you took me to Starbucks,
like Dating, a Savior, waking in the hull to cast
a stern glare at ill -fated skies. If we kissed
over coffee steam, dark clouds parting
making way for joy’s bright sun like
despair fleeing a rebuke. My world’d be
completely calm. I’d fall in love, our smooth sail.

----------------Matthew 8:23-27
Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

John Wall After 40 Nights; A Genesis 6 Wizards Poem #TonyandWall

+-----------John Wall After 40 Nights; A Genesis 6 Wizards Poem

John, other NBA playoff teams-
(Celtics, Cavs, Warriors)
citizens on an earth just cursed:
crass, vile; unctuous Nephilim
neighbors who don’t
appreciate your late night free
throw practice, post-game video
analysis, in-game tenacity. As if you
were sitting on a carpenter’s stool
futilely, talking to yourself taking
hammer and nail to Gopher
wood without aim. And despite the
adversity, you dunk, you pass,
you block, you defend: you build
your vision of a championship like
an Ark, your heart like a dry land
with faith undeterred in downpours.
For your winning will be foreboding
dark skies, torrential rains…
40 days and 40 nights of NBA terror-
players' emotions beasts, birds, men
washed away like memories of dreams.
I see hands sticking above the water’s
surface of defeat, I see you with
a Ring resting on Mount Ararat, smiling
in DC in June like releasing a dove.

----------------Genesis 5:32-6:22
After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth. When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal ; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown. The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high. Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit high all around. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks. I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you. You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.” Noah did everything just as God commanded him.
