The Blood-Soaked Moon

--------[Obstinacy: The Thoughts of Jesus As His Mother and Brothers Sought Him Out]-------------------

Is it possible
that normal is crazy, and crazy normal?
that sickness, disease, death, poverty
are aberrations, distortions of reality
cloaked in our consciousness
entrenched in our innermost conceptions
of fate, destiny and the end of existence ever nearing?
What if our eyes are closed
oblivious to light
eyelids fastened, our spiritual bodies at rest?
comatose minds
dormant hearts dreaming of the dawn of a new age?
and we wipe the tears from our eyes in our sleep
(joy from warm thoughts) on winter nights
shivering from the chilled winds of
memories of a distant self
alter egos of yesteryear
so that my Words are nonsensical and elicit scorn and derision
monstrosities causing concern and dismay
yet all the while beguiling
and irresistible
because when my touch purifies a leper's skin
and the sound of my voice resurrects the dead
.....something inside of you awakens
like a soul reclaimed from bitterness and despair
you begin praying for the blood soaked moon
because you know you will never fall asleep again

(basking in the sunlight of Truth forevermore)

Luke 8:19-20
Now Jesus' mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd. Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you."
