[The Incarnation is a splendid mystery to me in that Jesus simultaneously fills three roles as our Messiah…He is the High Priest, and Two Sacrificial Goats: The Goat Sacrificed to God and the Scapegoat. He is both the Offering and the Offeror, satisfying our debt of sin in His own body to His Father. Only He is uniquely qualified to do this - to blatantly confound human wisdom (on our behalf) yet remain perfectly sensible and reasonable to God. He was a living contradiction, a human wonderment both fully God and fully man…being and becoming yet transcending and remaining the same. He has made me a man who lovingly stares at Goats*]
