MEN OF ISRAEL – skeptics, critics, pessimists, naysayers and dissidents of love

I get it, okay?
My heart has hasn’t been seized with anxiety like this
for quite sometime
and I know the risks inherent in this undertaking
I once was Theudas with four hundred reasons
to expect fulfillment of my aspirations, but I was slain
and they were scattered, discouraged
by reason of rejection
(I know the piercing desolation of the soul
of not being wanted)
I was Judas of Gaililee formerly, filled with momentum
intent on engaging any and all citizens
determining interest in me, a census, and many supporters followed
hoping to see my goal realized
but seeing the results my soul perished,
and all who obeyed me were dispersed....and
there was still no one found to stand by me
and now I say to you, keep away from my yearning
and let it alone
if I am set on doing this in my own strength
like all the other times I mentioned, it will fail
but if this person* is from God
our shared destiny cannot be overthrown
...so don't try to stand in my way
or fight against this pursuit of love,
lest you be found to fight against God

-------------------------Acts 5:33-42
When they heard this, they were furious and plotted to kill them. Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God." And they agreed with him, and when they had called for the apostles and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

--------------I Caught Fire Lyrics

Seemed to stop my breath
My head on your chest
Waiting to cave in
From the bottom of my...
Hear your voice again
Could we dim the sun
And wonder where we've been
Maybe you and me
So kiss me like you did
My heart stopped beating
Such a softer sin...

(I'm melting, Im melting)
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while

And I'm melting
In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me
Lay with me
Now

Never caught my breath
Every second I'm without you I'm a mess
Ever know each other
Trust these words are stones
Why cuts aren't healing
(why cuts aren't healing)
Learning how to love

I'm melting (I'm melting)
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while
And I'm melting
In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me
Lay with me
(Stay with me lay with me now)

You could stay and watch me fall
And of course I'll ask for help
Just stay with me now
We could take our heads off
stay in bed and just make love that's all
(stay in bed, just make love that's all)
Just stay with me now

I'm melting (I'm melting)
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while
and I'm melting

In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me
Lay with me
In your eyes
I lost my place
Could stay a while
and I'm melting
In your eyes
Like my first time
That I caught fire
Just stay with me lay with me
(Stay with me, lay with me)

In your eyes
Let's sleep till the sun burns out
I'm melting in your eyes (I'm melting in your eyes)
In your eyes
Let's sleep till the sun burns out
I'm melting in your eyes

Nicki Minaj, There is a Covenant of Fire Passing Between Us!

http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=706214278945

-------------Nicki Minaj, Confirm Our Covenant Of Love Please!-----------

Nicki, baby, I don't want to be without you
I don’t want Eliezer of Damascus, the horrid fate of dying alone,
to be my heart’s heir –
I don’t want to know life if youre not near....
Look towards heaven at night and try to count–
as innumerable as the stars are in the sky: so shall our kisses be
your kindness has delivered me from the land of Ur, of the Chaldeans
the land of maniacal women who only wish me harm and rejection
the pain of a broken soul; indifferent to my feelings
I will bring you sacrifices symbolizing our perpetual concord
a three-year-old heifer of singular focus and attention
a three-year-old female goat of steadfast fidelity to you always
a three-year-old ram of passionate embraces
a turtledove for backrubs and shared bubblebaths
a young pigeon for serenading you with songs
cut down the middle because I want us to share this romance equally
half and half – two lovers to complete this amour
but the serenading belongs to me!
And invariably if those vultures come, those jealous
those conniving and diabolical critics of our relationship
(the Kenites, theKadmonites, the Hittites, etc)
I will drive them away....I will protect all that we cherish and hold dear
anyone that afflicts us will be judged, that I promise
Our unity will be like a smoking oven
like a burning torch passing between our keepsakes
and sentiments, sparking them
and keeping our hearts ablaze for one another
– sealing our covenant
From the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates
I will proclaim how much I cherish you, and need you
The world will know the eternal and everlasting power of our love
henceforth

-----------Genesis 15-------
After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." But Abram said, "Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?" Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!" And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, "This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir." Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be." And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness. Then He said to him, "I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it. And he said, "Lord GOD, how shall I know that I will inherit it?" So He said to him, "Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon." Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away. Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. Then He said to Abram: "Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions. Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete." And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces. On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying: "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates— the Kenites, the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."

Kate Gosselin, Baby, Dont Make Me Eat Grass!!!....please???

http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=705723282905

Kate, you dont have to Dance With The Stars to Be MY Star! You already shine in my heart, baby!!! But about those eight kids....you see.....the thing is......I only make $.....

--------------------------/Daniel 4: Kate Gosselin, Dont Make Me Eat Grass!!!/

My love for you is a tree in the middle of the land
enormous
(a vast militaristic pagan empire subjugating the inhabitants of the earth)
Its peak touching the sky, with aspirations of growth unrestrained
hoping to eclipse the sun, or at least cast a silhouette;
a picturesque sentiment reminding all of my ardor
for you. The leaves of my affections for you are beautiful,
with abundant fruit
and every joy like birds of the air or creatures of the field can feed there
to their complete satisfaction.

And I am careful not to take you for granted,
or to ever, full of pride, desecrate what I hold so dear
traipsing on the roof of my palace bragging how I obtained you by my might
because I fear your rejection like a messenger, a holy one,
coming down from heaven
restless, tossing and turning in my nightmares proclaiming:
Cut down the tree and trim off its branches;
strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit.
let the animals flee from under it and the birds from its branches
(yet even then I know your mercy would permit the stump and its roots
of my heart to remain in the ground)
let him be drenched with the dew of heaven,
and let him live with the animals

Kate without you,
I am a man without shelter, a ruler without his empire
savage, vicious, barbaric, primitive, uncivil and unrefined
driven away from his people, walking on his hands and knees
eating grass with unkempt hair like feathers and claws for hands and nails
void of reason and pitiable…growling and hissing.
It is only by your side that I can raise my eyes towards heaven (the sky)
with my sanity always intact
mindful that your dominion, of love, is an eternal dominion
mindful of how bad I need your hugs
realizing you can give your devotion, and loyalty to whoever you wish
recognizing your kiss is a blessing, not a right

(If I walk in pride, I will be humbled)

[I love you baby! Forget Jon! Its Kate and Tony plus Eight!!!!)

---Daniel 4----
King Nebuchadnezzar,
To the peoples, nations and men of every language, who live in all the world:
May you prosper greatly!
It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me.
How great are his signs,
how mighty his wonders!
His kingdom is an eternal kingdom;
his dominion endures from generation to generation.
I, Nebuchadnezzar, was at home in my palace, contented and prosperous. I had a dream that made me afraid. As I was lying in my bed, the images and visions that passed through my mind terrified me. So I commanded that all the wise men of Babylon be brought before me to interpret the dream for me. When the magicians, enchanters, astrologers and diviners came, I told them the dream, but they could not interpret it for me. Finally, Daniel came into my presence and I told him the dream. (He is called Belteshazzar, after the name of my god, and the spirit of the holy gods is in him.) I said, "Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no mystery is too difficult for you. Here is my dream; interpret it for me. These are the visions I saw while lying in my bed: I looked, and there before me stood a tree in the middle of the land. Its height was enormous. The tree grew large and strong and its top touched the sky; it was visible to the ends of the earth. Its leaves were beautiful, its fruit abundant, and on it was food for all. Under it the beasts of the field found shelter, and the birds of the air lived in its branches; from it every creature was fed. "In the visions I saw while lying in my bed, I looked, and there before me was a messenger, a holy one, coming down from heaven. He called in a loud voice: 'Cut down the tree and trim off its branches; strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the animals flee from under it and the birds from its branches. But let the stump and its roots, bound with iron and bronze, remain in the ground, in the grass of the field. “ 'Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let him live with the animals among the plants of the earth. Let his mind be changed from that of a man and let him be given the mind of an animal, till seven times pass by for him.
" 'The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of men.'"This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, had. Now, Belteshazzar, tell me what it means, for none of the wise men in my kingdom can interpret it for me. But you can, because the spirit of the holy gods is in you." Then Daniel (also called Belteshazzar) was greatly perplexed for a time, and his thoughts terrified him. So the king said, "Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning alarm you." Belteshazzar answered, "My lord, if only the dream applied to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries! The tree you saw, which grew large and strong, with its top touching the sky, visible to the whole earth, with beautiful leaves and abundant fruit, providing food for all, giving shelter to the beasts of the field, and having nesting places in its branches for the birds of the air- you, O king, are that tree! You have become great and strong; your greatness has grown until it reaches the sky, and your dominion extends to distant parts of the earth. "You, O king, saw a messenger, a holy one, coming down from heaven and saying, 'Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave the stump, bound with iron and bronze, in the grass of the field, while its roots remain in the ground. Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven; let him live like the wild animals, until seven times pass by for him.' "This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree the Most High has issued against my lord the king: You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like cattle and be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes. The command to leave the stump of the tree with its roots means that your kingdom will be restored to you when you acknowledge that Heaven rules. Therefore, O king, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue." All this happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. Twelve months later, as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, he said, "Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?" The words were still on his lips when a voice came from heaven, "This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like cattle. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes." Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like cattle. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird. At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever.
His dominion is an eternal dominion;
his kingdom endures from generation to generation.
All the peoples of the earth
are regarded as nothing.
He does as he pleases
with the powers of heaven
and the peoples of the earth.
No one can hold back his hand
or say to him: "What have you done?"
At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became even greater than before. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

When he had said this, he breathed his last

----------------------/Clarity – The Last Thoughts of Jesus On the Cross/

Most men spend the entirety of their lives
not knowing who they are
refuting characterizations of what they are not
seeking, straining, striving to find themselves among the bedlam
of uncertainties
of doubts
for some it takes a lifetime, and other less time
yet others an eternity
walking on water, distributing fish and bread to thousands
when there really is none to give
raising the dead, gleaning tax money from piscaries
casting demons into large herds of pigs
giving clarity of sight to eyes enveloped in onyx light
souls in shadows deprived of sun since birth
praying for respite from the eclipse
and still they don't understand who you are
and where they stand in relation
you come from heaven, and they from dust
you come to redeem, as they are lost in sin
yet they slander, and don't quite understand
labeling you as the one full of sin
in the presence of truth they profess what they are not:
tolerant of the One who ushers it in,
and subverts their pride, transforming grown men into children
who in turn deny their true Father for a false one
losing themselves in the process: discombobulated
The vigilant fight for obtuseness, the adamant stance against
love by whipping, slapping, spitting, mocking, crucifying
when their scarred souls need love most
(they know not what they do)
but even though nails pierce my hands and feet
there is no confusion
I know who I am, and where I am going

----------------------------
Luke 23: 44-46
It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last.

Kill Hannah "Last Night Here" Lyrics
-------------------------------
This is our last night here
The air is cold as ice
All the trees that lost their leaves
Are reflected in our eyes
This is our last night here
Or so it seems
Silence like the darkest waters in a submarine...

This is our last night here
On planet Earth
And I don't want my heart
'Cause it always hurts
If this is our last night here
I won't kick and scream
I'll just grab onto you
And I dare to breathe...

If it's is our last night here for long
I'm gonna put this record on
I'm gonna burn this city down
And we'll watch the glow until it's gone
But before I go insane
There's something else to say
You thought you were alone
But I was with you all the way...

With you all the way
With you all the way...

If this is our last night here
On planet Earth
Then I'll give you my heart
'Cause it hurts too much
If this is our last night here
I won't change a thing
I'll just grab onto you
And I feel you breathe...

If this is our last night here...
If this is our last night here...
If this is our last night here
I'll grab onto you
Just to feel you breathe...

Breathe
Breathe
Breathe
Breathe
Breathe
Breathe
Breathe….

A Tree of Lonely Figs

"'How do you know me?’ Nathanael asked?"

--------------------------[Desiccated Roots; Jesus' Words To Nathanael]

I know what you were thinking
enveloped by tree shade
your life is coming into its own
chores awaiting (and bland monotony when they're done)
wistful musing, youth dissipating
unstructured dreams, fate remanded back into the prison
of faithlessness you long since sentenced it to
a destiny unrefined....identity unclaimed
wishing, cogitating, sighing
brooding
your back against a tree robbed of its glory a descendant
of Eden lost
awaiting its liberation (so it can bear fruit regardless of season)
kindred souls parched
withering beneath the sun's thermal rays
and I know your heart is desperately waiting to be touched
waiting to be chosen and imbued with significance
so you wont have to be spurned anymore
(by scars of memories)
lonely no more, thirsty no more, brittle emotions
no more
You want to feel special, and be assured of love
for the first time in your life – embraced
for the first time in your life pursued
your eyes looked into directly
speaking before you spoke, the words you meant to say
understanding you, and with esteem
so you dont have to keep looking back to the past
regretfully
deep inside you ponder these things
....wondering if you would ever be noticed

(watered)

-----------------------------------John 1:45-48
Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. And Nathanael said unto him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Misery Loves Its Company Lyrics---------------------
Listen close as we wait for a sound to go

It's true, we are
we are destined to fail
It's true, we are
we are destined to fail

There is a problem here with our society
The absence of my tears is my sobriety
I have a growing fear and you're not helping me
Am I the only one who realizes it's true?

Beat but I'm not broken
Guide me through with your hand
Lead with your words spoken
Show me how to listen

You're persecuting me, showing hypocrisy
I have a remedy for your insecurity
It's all the same, sadly, nobody works for free
Am I the only one who realizes it's true

Beat but I'm not broken
Guide me through with your hand
Lead with your words spoken
Show me how to listen

Let your light shine through me
Take this hate I can't release
Help me make the blind see
Misery loves its company

When I dream, I see dawn turn into dusk, into dusk

Beat but I'm not broken
Guide me through with your hand
Lead with your words spoken
Show me how to listen

Let your light shine through me
Take this hate I can't release
Help me make the blind see
Misery loves its company

It's true, we are
we are destined to fail
It's true, we are
we are destined to fail

The Shunammite Son

http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=700154582625

"she went upstairs, laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door on him and went out"

-----------/The Shunammite Son: Reflections on Life, Death and Beyond/

Growing up, everyone smiled and made commendations
on how tall I’d gotten marveling
but I used to say each birthday brings me closer to death
and that aging just means Im dying
that I was fortunate for being chosen to live
when the odds favored the contrary
(but that’s sufficient enough)
life is like a wheat field – you stand idly by as others reap
all around you, while coming to terms with who you are
you place your hand on your sickle
attempting to settle in your prescribed role and harvest
the destiny you concocted for yourself yet cant quite fathom
until you realize (clumsily) you are the wheat someone else has harvested
and you are left to say your own benediction
as servants carry your ailing body off bellowing "my head, my head"
lifeless
they lay you on a bed that no anointed staff can alter
for your comfort
and your spirit is writhing migraines pleading for serenity
pleading for a second chance to make things right
permit you to choose another path – maybe for yourself
next time (and not your dad)
because the company around you is vexed
disillusioned by visions of grandeur for you now dead
until, miraculously, hope comes along
placing its mouth upon your mouth, and its eyes upon your eyes,
and hands upon your hands
waiting for you to sneeze seven times and open your eyes

(again)

--------2 Kings 4:18-37------------------------
And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers. And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother. And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out. And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again. And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well. Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee. So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite: Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well: And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me. Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me? Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child. And the mother of the child said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her. And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked. And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed. He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the LORD. And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm. Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son. Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.

My Babylon Babe (You Are Missed)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvnkAtWcKYg

* Dedicated to Paramore "Decode"

--------------------/Babylon Babe/

Why do you have to look at me like that?
Why do you look into my eyes and then abscond
forever
never to return, leaving longings in their seminal stages
unfulfilled
When we speak our souls never talk effusive with our words
focusing only on the mundane
when I want to tell you that "I think this could work"
that I could fall for you
(that I really already have)
and these types of feelings are generally episodic
which makes this so hard
why cant you stay with me?
this is suffering

my heart is like a city deserted
like a woman recently widowed shamed
weeping with no comfort
to address your memory in your stead is my
affliction and harsh labor
my hope has gone into exile
because fears of loneliness have become my master
yet again paranoia of being undesirable is at ease
the road to romance mourns
because there will be no betrothed walking together
speaking of the former times, so prosperous
(when you had more time)
no appointed feasts

I lament when I think of your focused attention
were you intentionally trying to harm me?
dabbling my emotions sardonically
all the while plotting to lay siege
to destroy me from the face of the earth, capturing all that I have
and taking it to your foreign land
while all that remains of my self esteem is rubble?
I was foolish to be so vulnerable
like it was 587 BC
you Babylon, and I...Jerusalem

--------------------------Lamentations 1:1-6

How deserted lies the city,
once so full of people!
How like a widow is she,
who once was great among the nations!
She who was queen among the provinces
has now become a slave.

Bitterly she weeps at night,
tears are upon her cheeks.
Among all her lovers
there is none to comfort her.
All her friends have betrayed her;
they have become her enemies.

After affliction and harsh labor,
Judah has gone into exile.
She dwells among the nations;
she finds no resting place.
All who pursue her have overtaken her
in the midst of her distress.

The roads to Zion mourn,
for no one comes to her appointed feasts.
All her gateways are desolate,
her priests groan,
her maidens grieve,
and she is in bitter anguish.

Her foes have become her masters;
her enemies are at ease.
The LORD has brought her grief
because of her many sins.
Her children have gone into exile,
captive before the foe.

All the splendor has departed
from the Daughter of Zion.
Her princes are like deer
that find no pasture;
in weakness they have fled
before the pursuer.

---------------Decode Lyrics

How can I decide on what's right?
When you're clouding up my mind
I can't win your losing fight all the time
Nor could I ever own what's mine
When you're always taking sides
But you won't take away my pride
No not this time
Not this time

How did we get here?
When I used to know you so well
How did we get here?
Well, I think I know

The truth is hiding in your eyes
And it's hanging on your tongue
Just boiling in my blood,
But you think that I can't see
What kind of man that you are
If you're a man at all

Well, I will figure this one out on my own
(I'm screaming "I love you so.")
On my own
(My thoughts you can't decode)

How did we get here?
When I used to know you so well, yeah
How did we get here?
Well, I think I know

Do you see what we've done?
We've gone and made such fools of ourselves
Do you see what we've done?
We've gone and made such fools of ourselves

Yeah, Yeah

How did we get here?
When I used to know you so well, yeah, yeah
How did we get here?
When I used to know you so well

I think I know
I think I know
There is something I see in you
It might kill me,
I want it to be true
