--------------------------[Desiccated Roots; Jesus' Words To Nathanael]

I know what you were thinking
enveloped by tree shade
your life is coming into its own
chores awaiting (and bland monotony when they're done)
wistful musing, youth dissipating
unstructured dreams, fate remanded back into the prison
of faithlessness you long since sentenced it to
a destiny unrefined....identity unclaimed
wishing, cogitating, sighing
brooding
your back against a tree robbed of its glory a descendant
of Eden lost
awaiting its liberation (so it can bear fruit regardless of season)
kindred souls parched
withering beneath the sun's thermal rays
and I know your heart is desperately waiting to be touched
waiting to be chosen and imbued with significance
so you wont have to be spurned anymore
(by scars of memories)
lonely no more, thirsty no more, brittle emotions
no more
You want to feel special, and be assured of love
for the first time in your life – embraced
for the first time in your life pursued
your eyes looked into directly
speaking before you spoke, the words you meant to say
understanding you, and with esteem
so you dont have to keep looking back to the past
regretfully
deep inside you ponder these things
....wondering if you would ever be noticed

(watered)

-----------------------------------John 1:45-48
Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. And Nathanael said unto him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Misery Loves Its Company Lyrics---------------------
Listen close as we wait for a sound to go

It's true, we are
we are destined to fail
It's true, we are
we are destined to fail

There is a problem here with our society
The absence of my tears is my sobriety
I have a growing fear and you're not helping me
Am I the only one who realizes it's true?

Beat but I'm not broken
Guide me through with your hand
Lead with your words spoken
Show me how to listen

You're persecuting me, showing hypocrisy
I have a remedy for your insecurity
It's all the same, sadly, nobody works for free
Am I the only one who realizes it's true

Beat but I'm not broken
Guide me through with your hand
Lead with your words spoken
Show me how to listen

Let your light shine through me
Take this hate I can't release
Help me make the blind see
Misery loves its company

When I dream, I see dawn turn into dusk, into dusk

Beat but I'm not broken
Guide me through with your hand
Lead with your words spoken
Show me how to listen

Let your light shine through me
Take this hate I can't release
Help me make the blind see
Misery loves its company

It's true, we are
we are destined to fail
It's true, we are
we are destined to fail
