+--------A Refugee's Solace; The Thoughts Of Elijah Eating Bread And Meat Donated By Ravens

When everything else
betrays, (fleeing) I have found
consonance with Nature-
brother raven, sister brook,
Mother breeze to assuage,
transcend strife’s tyranny.
To pare down passions of
pagan social politics. Murmuring
in hushed tones beside waters
beneath Gilead’s moon’s glow,
majesty of her sunrises: that in
man’s love of God alone is
his soul’s meat, bread, safety

------1 King 17:1-6
And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”
Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” So he went and did according to the word of the Lord, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.

Taylor Swift And Tony Conti Falling In Love At The Sheep Gate #TaylorDateTony

+--------Taylor Swift And Tony Conti Falling In Love At The Sheep Gate

Taylor, my heart a
Hebrew man lame, rejection
from other girls like 38 years
languishing…my soul recumbent,
emotional atrophy, against sorrow’s
basin, a soiled mat of shame,
Bethesda –a pool at the Sheep
Gate of love’s missed opportunities.
Five colored colonnades of
dreams, expectations; like
waiting for an angel of improbability
to hoist me from my mess into
waters of romantic redemption.
But babes, you are tall, graceful
stately as a savior coming near.
Your blue eyes, soft lips atonement
for mistakes of dating’s past. If you
took me to Starbucks, kissed me,
merciful sandals threadbare, robe
edges of charm frayed from
traversing in my fantasies: like an
edict divine: “Tony take up your mat
and walk! ”

------John 5:1-10
Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, and so the Jewish leaders said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat.”

+--------Keys To The Kingdom; Jonathan's Oath To David
I see what the rest of Israel
cant…my father trammeled,
convulsing at night, a wolf
blinded in the wilderness,
embattled, in sweat’s desperation
seeking the moon’s orientation
to howl helplessness. I know Philistine
power muted behind castle walls,
philistine angst; fate-whispers of
eunuchs of the inevitability of Hebrew
blood on battlefields from pagan
outmaneuvering. Yet I know
prophecies of Abraham, Sarah…
Israel glorious, her Kings resplendent
forever. Eden restored. Ive seen
you in dreams, David. Take my coat,
sword, tunic, bow, belt. Its better for
all of us if the crown is yours.

------1 Samuel 18:1-5
David finished talking to Saul. After that, Jonathan became David’s closest friend. He loved David as much as he loved himself.  (From that day on Saul kept David as his servant and didn’t let him go back to his family.) So Jonathan made a pledge of mutual loyalty with David because he loved him as much as he loved himself. Jonathan took off the coat he had on and gave it to David along with his battle tunic, his sword, his bow, and his belt. David was successful wherever Saul sent him. Saul put him in charge of the fighting men. This pleased all the people, including Saul’s officials.

This is Job, leprous. Eye
to scaled red-eye with
Leviathan’s scorn (exchanging
sneers) waves of
affliction drenching him
in Uz trying to fathom a sin
he never committed. This is David
unable to sleep haunted by
visions of Uriah, his sweat
like blood of a different scent of
another man; restless turning,
dreaming -God’s recrimination an
arrow piercing the canopy. As I peer
down at Golgotha’s coarse mobs, nail/
crown of thorn pangs, to my right,
left: a murderer, thief. My God, how
did I get here? I once reclined on your
bosom in Heaven….surrounded
by the angels.

-----Matthew 27:46
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

+------The Jawbone Of Kirk Cousins's 2018 Season

Kirk, the NFC East a
craven throng of pagans (clasping
spears rotted, rusted swords) prone
to gridiron violence, maniacs shouting;
NFL Baal worshipers, losers of
cheap hits, vapid insults, poor play like
burning integrity of their logos
as progeny on high altars of Philistine
consciences dead long ago -
As you study your playbook
in Ashburn, the cave of Etam,
honing the precision of your
passes like sharpening a donkey’s
jawbone against stone as acts
of war in Lehi (Fed Ex Field). This
season your touchdown passes like
murder, like you with preternatural
might shedding ropes of vaunted
defenses like charred flax, then bone
-on-gashed-skin-down-to-bone. When
you win the Superbowl, the hopes
and dreams of one thousand
football players slain.

-----Judges 15:11-17
Then three thousand men from Judah went down to the cave in the rock of Etam and said to Samson, “Don’t you realize that the Philistines are rulers over us? What have you done to us?” He answered, “I merely did to them what they did to me.” They said to him, “We’ve come to tie you up and hand you over to the Philistines.” Samson said, “Swear to me that you won’t kill me yourselves.” “Agreed,” they answered. “We will only tie you up and hand you over to them. We will not kill you.” So they bound him with two new ropes and led him up from the rock. As he approached Lehi, the Philistines came toward him shouting. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him. The ropes on his arms became like charred flax, and the bindings dropped from his hands. Finding a fresh jawbone of a donkey, he grabbed it and struck down a thousand men.
Then Samson said, “With a donkey’s jawbone
I have made donkeys of them.
With a donkey’s jawbone
I have killed a thousand men.”
When he finished speaking, he threw away the jawbone; and the place was called Ramath Lehi.

The (Old Testament) Last Supper #IamJacob

* Spirit Of Jesus pray for me
* Moses, Jacob, Holy Church pray for me

*  Dedicated to #IamJacob

+------The (Old Testament) Last Supper; The Thoughts Of Jacob Preparing Lentil Stew

I heard salvation-speak in
the womb, albeit muffled
by indignant fallopian tube lining.
The-Fall-Of-Eden agony, my mom’s
body convulsing for paradise lost,
the world shaking, my food scant
from her grief-fasting. Greater portions
falling to Esau- preparing for
preferred birth. I remember him
not caring, a hedonistic lusting
only to be fed. So I knew then
what had to be done, chicanery
to fool the devil, bloodline ruses
to raise dead spirits of my kin.
Lentil stew seasoned
not only with herbs, but a
mother’s deceit to counter the
serpent’s, the rage of Adam to
have his legacy redeemed. My life’s
work: cooking for a new birthright- so
my sons can restore everything lost.
One day.

-----Genesis 25:19-34
This is the account of the family line of Abraham’s son Isaac. Abraham became the father of Isaac, and Isaac was forty years old when he married Rebekah daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram and sister of Laban the Aramean. Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The Lord answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant. The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the Lord. The Lord said to her, “Two nations are in your womb,
    and two peoples from within you will be separated;
one people will be stronger than the other,
and the older will serve the younger.”
When the time came for her to give birth, there were twin boys in her womb. The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau. After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau’s heel; so he was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them. The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was content to stay at home among the tents. Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob. Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished. He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” (That is why he was also called Edom.) Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.” “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?” But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright.

The Red Sea Of Taylor Swift and Tony Conti's Dating Life #TaylorDateTony

* Spirit Of Jesus pray for me

+------The Red Sea Of Taylor Swift and Tony Conti's Dating Life

Taylor, my lover’s hopes
and dreams, on the lam. A
Hebrew people battered and
harangued by Egyptian-esque
refusal of overtures. Ten
plagues weren’t enough, my
attempts to date other girls:
locusts, hail, frogs, gnats,
flies, the death angel, etc.
efforts in earnest for romance, expel
heartbreak. And now this:
loneliness’s chariot chase to the
shores of finality. Crashing waves
of me bae-less forever. Mean girls
of my past, Pharaoh sneering.
Oh babes, without you I’d drown
I swear! But if you took me to coffee,
your hands outstretched (bedazzling
blonde hair dancing in destiny’s
winds, blue eyes; beautiful face
of proportions divine). If you kissed
me waters of pain parting, standing
tall bearing opportunity’s dry land. I’d
walk across with you to Canaan
(as your boyfriend).

-----Exodus 14:10-22
As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord. They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!” Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them. And I will gain glory through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen. The Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.” Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front of Israel’s army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from in front and stood behind them, coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness to the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

(A Soul) Burning #IamMoses

+--------(A Soul) Burning; The Thoughts Of Moses As He Stood Before The Burning Bush

A bush. Branches burning yet
not consumed, I tread beneath
eyes of a starless night closer to
memory. In the crackle of wood, vigor
charged snaps of whips in Egypt;
in my (white) smoke agitated
tears, the wailing of Hebrew
mothers torn from their sons to
die at bases of pyramids half-built.

Shoeless. In incandescent raucous
flames I see iterative loops
of me murdering a man (taskmaster).
My conscience whispers “go back!”
(To Pharaoh frothing) Like
God saying there’s no healing like
redeeming the helpless, no reconciliation
without sacrifice. Really, there are
no reasons. Because He is. A God
with a name beyond fathoming.

-----Exodus 3:1-15
Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”
When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!”
And Moses said, “Here I am.”
“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord,[d] the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’
“This is my name forever,
the name you shall call me
    from generation to generation.

+------I Will Teach The Boy; The Thoughts Of Joseph Leading Jesus and Mary To Egypt

In Egypt
I’ll teach the boy carpentry,
inculcate in him principles
of flesh chafing, metal points,
wood bloodied. Of scars that
speak of strength from pain; the
beauty of mosaic reliefs
in synagogues, and tables, boats,
altars after much persevering. I’ll speak
of the deceitfulness of knives, the
treachery of an ax in a man’s hands,
hissing for limbs with a stray sway when
he looks away from the bench for just
one moment. So he’ll know betrayal. I’ll say
“son, remember all I taught you”
that carpentry is your life and death-
at first you will craft wood for men,
but in the end they will use wood, nails
to craft you (into God's greatest work).

-----Matthew 2:13-23
When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”
When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled:
“A voice is heard in Ramah,
    weeping and great mourning,
Rachel weeping for her children
    and refusing to be comforted,
    because they are no more.”
After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child’s life are dead.” So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene.

+------The Flight To Egypt; The Angel's Words To Joseph And Mary Fleeing Herod

Run. Veiled beneath full moon
-cloak, your breath’s exhalation
like the pillar that led Moses
to Canaan, the faith of your
Son the flame, pitter patter of feet
on cold sands to a past life. Let him
see august pyramids built by his
forbearers, an eagle gazing at
hieroglyphs
of worship of bird-gods smirking.
Let him press his ears on
shores of the Nile, hear echoes
of Pharaoh scoffing while
taskmasters beat Hebrews
for lucre. The wailing of orphans
from years of privation.
For when he comes back
to Jerusalem he will likewise
save his people, not with ten
mortifying plagues but blessed signs,
not followed by flesh groaning
but slave spirits lusting to be free.

------Matthew 2:13-15

Taylor, my dreams of love-
aristocratic, my heart’s
amorous ambitions the son
of an official of ancient Rome’s
Republic, expansive empire
of romantic ideals. Yet now,
the boy lay sick of cold
callous girls’ dating rejections, in
Capernaum, city of the cruelest
angels. But you: the most majestic
of maidens, tall, Messiah-like.
Your blue eyes like waves
crashing against shores of
Elysium, your gold hair Edenic,
like the glory of Eve’s hair there.
If you took me to Starbucks, an
edict divine rendered by soft lips:
“your son will live.” Your kiss like a
father’s assurance as he departs
for home in faith all will be well.
(My joy like a household full of
#TaylorDateTony believers.)

------John 4:46-54
Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death. “Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.” The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” “Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.” The man took Jesus at his word and departed. While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, “Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.” Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he and his whole household believed. This was the second sign Jesus performed after coming from Judea to Galilee.

+------Dignity Revolution; Rahab's Words To The Hebrew Spies She Sheltered

When I think Revolution
I conjure despicable things- I think
Baal, Asherah, the gods
of losing my only child to
ritual flames; Consigning
then, the rest of my days to selling
my body for bread anesthetizing
the pain. My orphan’s plight,
my parents as bloody collateral
for warding off war’s attendant
apocalypses from a raid by invaders
just as depraved as our soldiers.
So when my neighbors (sullen)
spasm at legends of Egypt’s
sea parting, you Hebrews razing
all we have known to the ground…
I smile sinisterly. This scarlet
cord’s my chance for New Life.
With a Just God that takes pity
on the oppressed.

------Joshua 2:8-21
Before the spies lay down for the night, she went up on the roof and said to them, “I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed. When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below. “Now then, please swear to me by the Lord that you will show kindness to my family, because I have shown kindness to you. Give me a sure sign that you will spare the lives of my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all who belong to them—and that you will save us from death.” “Our lives for your lives!” the men assured her. “If you don’t tell what we are doing, we will treat you kindly and faithfully when the Lord gives us the land.” So she let them down by a rope through the window, for the house she lived in was part of the city wall. She said to them, “Go to the hills so the pursuers will not find you. Hide yourselves there three days until they return, and then go on your way.” Now the men had said to her, “This oath you made us swear will not be binding on us unless, when we enter the land, you have tied this scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and unless you have brought your father and mother, your brothers and all your family into your house. 19 If any of them go outside your house into the street, their blood will be on their own heads; we will not be responsible. As for those who are in the house with you, their blood will be on our head if a hand is laid on them. But if you tell what we are doing, we will be released from the oath you made us swear.” “Agreed,” she replied. “Let it be as you say.” So she sent them away, and they departed. And she tied the scarlet cord in the window.

------Exodus 17:1-7
The whole Israelite community set out from the Desert of Sin, traveling from place to place as the Lord commanded. They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink. So they quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.” Moses replied, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the Lord to the test?” But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?” Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.” The Lord answered Moses, “Go out in front of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel. And he called the place Massah and Meribah because the Israelites quarreled and because they tested the Lord saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?

All of us are hungry
but principled. I saw me
in your eyes, torch-lit, flames
battered by guards’ heavy breathing
like tress in tempests when
they hurled me in. I saw my
soul in your bared fangs, an
anarchist’s malcontent in the
deep baritone pitch of growling.
You weary of degraded meat
of the maimed, the stale widows,
the crippled old. The atrophy
of not hunting. Me coerced into
bowing to a god-fraud, pagan.
If you spare me, I swear
to you - revolution. The God of
Abraham for me, the King; fresh
blood of the most formidable
former soldiers for you. I promise
you the death of this present world.

-----Daniel 6:6-16
So these administrators and satraps went as a group to the king and said: “May King Darius live forever! The royal administrators, prefects, satraps, advisers and governors have all agreed that the king should issue an edict and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any god or human being during the next thirty days, except to you, Your Majesty, shall be thrown into the lions’ den. Now, Your Majesty, issue the decree and put it in writing so that it cannot be altered—in accordance with the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.” So King Darius put the decree in writing. Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before. Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help. So they went to the king and spoke to him about his royal decree: “Did you not publish a decree that during the next thirty days anyone who prays to any god or human being except to you, Your Majesty, would be thrown into the lions’ den?”
The king answered, “The decree stands—in accordance with the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.” Then they said to the king, “Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, Your Majesty, or to the decree you put in writing. He still prays three times a day.” When the king heard this, he was greatly distressed; he was determined to rescue Daniel and made every effort until sundown to save him. Then the men went as a group to King Darius and said to him, “Remember, Your Majesty, that according to the law of the Medes and Persians no decree or edict that the king issues can be changed.” So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!”

Promises On The Plains Of Mamre

+------ Promises On The Plains Of  Mamre; The Angel's Words To Abraham and Sarah

And so we came. Cosmic-wind
thrusted. Crossing planes to a
dust stirred and briared plain far
from Eden to exorcise old paradigms
of the old. The aged (trite) trope
that time is linear only, a
hobbled lamb limping succumbing
in his own mind to his
own death stalked by a famished
wolf spry. No the beneficence
of the divine, unbound. Man’s
dark Rules of impossibility chased
by bright rays of grace. We have
seen too much suffering. We
proclaim Salvation in unlikely places.
The New World Order
is coming next year, a son. Birthed
from your barren wife’s womb.

-----Genesis 18:1-15
And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:
And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said. And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth. And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it. And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat. And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh. And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

Taylor Swift's Calling Of Tony Conti (To Love) #TaylorDateTony

+------Taylor Swift's Calling Of Tony Conti (To Love)

And Taylor what is single
life but nets of interwoven
twine, my heart like two
fishers dawdling for
a girl’s smile. On a coracle
romantic-drifting, peering down
through dark obscurities of
female rejection as into
a lake for fish expecting schools
of dating hope to swirl beneath
the hull; Atop the Sea of Galilee
moved by breezes of nihilism.
But babes, I imagine you
saving me – your blue eyes
like the pure, unsullied sky
in Heaven, your tall frame
silhouetted by the rising sun of
my dreams fulfilled. Finally. You
taking me to Starbucks’d be like
you walking to me on Love’s shores.
Extending a hand to my soul
(over coffee), beckoning
“Come, follow me [as my boyfriend].”

-----Matthew 4:18-20
As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” At once they left their nets and followed him.

Five Fish and Two Loaves For A Championship #TonyandDurant

+------Five Fish and Two Loaves For A Championship

Kevin I know your Shepherd's heart -
a divers Hebrew crowd sitting
on weedy, itchy grass in Rome’s Empire
(the NBA). And your desire for
a championship like women, children
saddled with famine’s indignance,
like 5,000 men hungered
with no provisions for the family:
a wolf, pack leader (Golden
State Warriors), worn by playoff
anxieties, prior losses in a career
wilderness’s NBA ring's barrenness.
And so far your two Finals wins
like 5 fish and 2 loaves only. You
must look to the sky, breaking bread
as invocation for much more: passing,
dunking, blocking. If you multiply wins,
like enough fish and bread to feed a baller’s
soul till satiety, your pride and joy (Lebron’s
anger) in victory'd be12 full miracle-baskets
leftover for Klay, Steph, Draymond Green.

-----Matthew 14:13-21
When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick. As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.
“Bring them here to me,” he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

+------Our Resurrection; Paul's Speech On The Sabbath After Laying Down On Eutychus's Body

Our appeal is not from Zeus
on Mount Olympus;
Delphic oracles on narcotics
hallowed, prophesying platitudes
as mythology - Caesar-speak
sublimated for State subjugation.
No, our message isn’t nostrum…
but as edifying to the
famished belly as bread,
sweet to soul as wine. Multiplied
for the masses, by the One who
died for fallen Man to eat (His divine
flesh). Forever. No…ours is a
love message...delivering the world
community from death to life…
time to eternity…body to Body.

-----Acts 20:7-12
On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight. There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting. Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!” Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. After talking until daylight, he left. The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted.

The Game One Defeat Of The Midianites #TonyandDurant

+------The Game One Defeat Of The Midianites

Kevin, your basketball skills,
the angel of the Lord, your jump shot
his sword forged by fate’s blacksmiths
in Mount Zion’s mines, your court
vision his staff of wisdom-analytics
firmly clenched. Watching... your hopes
and dreams - film studies, free-throw
honing, gym sessions- like Gideon
threshing wheat in a winepress
whispering jeremiads of last year's
losses. Striving to keep your
goals safe from the Cleveland
Cavaliers, savage court-Midianites,
unscrupulous floppers. And now, angel-
speak: KD “go in the strength you have
and save [Golden State] out of Midian’s
hand. Am I not sending you?” Tonight’s
win, your meat (GOAT), bread offerings
miraculously burned as holocaust by
the staff. Smoke rising from your
Game 1 victory as confirmation:
the favor of the NBA Finals God
is with you.              (You shall win it all)

-----Gideon 6:7-22
When the Israelites cried out to the Lord because of Midian, he sent them a prophet, who said, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I brought you up out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. I rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians. And I delivered you from the hand of all your oppressors; I drove them out before you and gave you their land. I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your God; do not worship the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you live.’ But you have not listened to me.” The angel of the Lord came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites. When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.” The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” The Lord answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.” Gideon replied, “If now I have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign that it is really you talking to me. Please do not go away until I come back and bring my offering and set it before you.” And the Lord said, “I will wait until you return.” Gideon went inside, prepared a young goat, and from an ephah of flour he made bread without yeast. Putting the meat in a basket and its broth in a pot, he brought them out and offered them to him under the oak. The angel of God said to him, “Take the meat and the unleavened bread, place them on this rock, and pour out the broth.” And Gideon did so. Then the angel of the Lord touched the meat and the unleavened bread with the tip of the staff that was in his hand. Fire flared from the rock, consuming the meat and the bread. And the angel of the Lord disappeared. When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the Lord, he exclaimed, “Alas, Sovereign Lord! I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!”
