Satan Whispering (To Me) #thisismytattoo

* God remember me. Remember so we can look back and laugh together. #thisismytattoo
* For all those suffering loss

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven – Luke 10:18
How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! – Isaiah 14:12

+---------------------------------Satan Whispering: Jesus’ Thoughts in the Garden of Gethsemane

You have never felt closer to me, funereal
arms draped over my shoulders,
fiery fingers tightly clenching my throat
suffocating all my dreams
now ashen and before me burning to cinder,
your whispers like sparks of flint
visions in the starless night.
This lumbering weight is too heavy for my soul
to bear, it feels as if everything I desire must die
appallingly nailed to dogwood,
a macabre spectacle for crowds
who watch me nakedly ashamed with their mouths
agape, the Roman soldiers before them spitting and
neurotically whipping my already flayed soul
asphyxiating helplessly on a tree.
If only the perennials flanking me, the lilies
cringing at me, the grass beneath
me hysterically attempting to flee
could intercede for me against this dolorous
fate, negotiate with their gods for grief commuted.
You tell me this is the ending you
did not want, the ending you feared most
is both unavoidable and imminent
.
You are pure beauty in layers,
the outermost disintegrating and exposing decay,
on the harp playing morose harmonies
that quicken anxiety, the blood prances out of
me as sweat deliriously dancing. Oh comely Angel
that fell from grace, you are joy
skewed, truth twisted, creation corrupted, all
priorities perverted, white will blackened..
Yes I must die,
the earth swallowing me in the abyss of
all those accursed now forgotten,
but I swear to God, His Will be done
and not mine,
that nothing is impossible, dry bones will fuse,
from sorrow and smoke and mourning
I will one day rise.

----------------------------Matthew 26:36-46
Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.
