+------My Son The King; The Thoughts Of Joseph After The Angel  Of The Lord Appeared To Him In A Dream

I know now what Hamilcar
felt in Carthage ransacked, a Patriarchal
Eagle (of war, of wings lacerated) staring
at his son-to-be-hatched, impatient
to bequeath spitefulness. I gaze
at Mary’s stomach as she sleeps;
I see David mounted on a horse hunting
Philistines, I see Hannibal Barca, the
blood-shot eyes unsheathing the blade
he inherited for pernicious purpose. When
I come to, the standing wall-silhouette
of my son-to-be, cast by the waning
flames of our candle flickering. I muse
astonished: Jesus, the one prophesized
to free us from Caesar’s tyranny…
is (in nine months) coming.

------Matthew 1:19-24
Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.  Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

+------Back To The Future; Enoch's Thoughts Before God Took Him Away

I’ve thought about this
for some time, the gemstones
aligning, alighting banks of the River
of Life, the Tree of Life’s famed
leaves and branches as sacred
alcoves of cherubim and seraphim;
Waiting, speaking in tongues only
I know. And now there is no dithering,
no mollification of the rage
within my heart festering for
Satan’s great deceit, the tears
of my father for the paradise
he lost (through insolence). I must
go…the call is too loud,
persistent to ignore…back to Eden.

------Genesis 5:18-24
When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch. After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. Altogether, Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died. When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters.  Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

Kirk Cousins's NFC Cure (In New Orleans)

+------Kirk Cousins's NFC Cure (In New Orleans)

Kirk, and now, the Redskins’ season
is Naaman, commander of
the army of the King of Aram
(the NFC) – valiant soldier. Five losses
like scabs, pained boils on his body,
another to the Saints’d be craters on skin
of playoff hopes unsightly. A blemish
too much to bear in war’s NFL theatre.
But you, Israel’s (Fed Ex Field’s) prophet
miraculous. Your QB repertoire, passes
precise, great compassion. TDs
in New Orleans to Doctson, Davis,
Thompson magnanimous, like counsel
of a sage for his cure: seven times’
baptism in the River Jordan. The defeat of
Drew Brees like restoration of Superbowl
aspirations- clean skin as soft as a child’s.
Redskins Nation’s gratitude: Naaman
bowing in the Temple of Rimmon with you.

------2 Kings 5:1-19
Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy. Now bands of raiders from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife. She said to her mistress, “If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.” Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said. “By all means, go,” the king of Aram replied. “I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So Naaman left, taking with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold and ten sets of clothing. The letter that he took to the king of Israel read: “With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy.” As soon as the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his robes and said, “Am I God? Can I kill and bring back to life? Why does this fellow send someone to me to be cured of his leprosy? See how he is trying to pick a quarrel with me!” When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his robes, he sent him this message: “Why have you torn your robes? Have the man come to me and he will know that there is a prophet in Israel.” So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house. Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.” But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy. Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage. Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!” So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy. Then Naaman and all his attendants went back to the man of God. He stood before him and said, “Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant.” The prophet answered, “As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept a thing.” And even though Naaman urged him, he refused. “If you will not,” said Naaman, “please let me, your servant, be given as much earth as a pair of mules can carry, for your servant will never again make burnt offerings and sacrifices to any other god but the Lord. 18 But may the Lord forgive your servant for this one thing: When my master enters the temple of Rimmon to bow down and he is leaning on my arm and I have to bow there also—when I bow down in the temple of Rimmon, may the Lord forgive your servant for this.” “Go in peace,” Elisha said.

+------The Greatest Dinner; John's Thoughts At The Last Supper

Tonight, we will not speak
of things verboten. Thirteen
men drawn together by
prophetic hopes of David the King,
now in ceremonious conviviality passing
wine, bread sacrosanct - the
way wolves smile over the
body of a deer felled. And the
dancing flame of a destiny
unknown, reveals (my head titled into
your bosom) your true face…Psyche
seeing Eros for the first time, awestruck,
humbled. We sing, we reminisce.
We rail against Caesar. It’s perfect,
like the last dinner we’ll ever need.

------Luke 22:7-16; John 13:23
Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
“Where do you want us to prepare for it?” they asked. He replied, “As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, and say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ He will show you a large room upstairs, all furnished. Make preparations there.” They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover. When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”; There was reclining one of His disciples whom Jesus loved in the bosom of Jesus.

The Fires And Waters Of Tony Conti's Singleness; Taylor Swift's Miracle-Rebuke #taylordatetony

+------The Fires And Waters Of Tony Conti's Singleness; Taylor Swift's Miracle-Rebuke

Taylor, my singleness is a
Hebrew father in Caesarea Philippi
dysphoric pleading on his knees, my
heart from dating rejection his lunatic
son sore vexed. And I swear my
loneliness feels like emotional
schemes of a devil- like falling into fire,
the skin of my soul singed, into water,
my yearning for romance drowning
helplessly. Years of being bae-less,
wails of anguish, a spectacle
before crowds surrounding me.
But babes! You are a Coffee-
Savior, the tone of your singing-
voice angels feting one
born of a Virgin. Your blue eyes
Heaven’s gift to men, your lips
Miraculous comfort. If you took me
to Starbucks, kissed me,
a stern rebuke to my dateless life.
The demons would leave me
that very hour.

------Matthew 17:14-21
And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

+------Love's Sacrifices...(Prayers Of A Fox Whisperer); Samson's Words To 300 Foxes After Losing His Wife To The Philistines

Foxes, proselytes in 150 fated
pairs, tails knit together (as lovers,
I hope) torch-lit. Into their ears
I whisper “we have known love universal,”
“its abode within the soul, a
lasting blaze”. I ask them to rise….
as metaphors, mourning conflagration
-ambassadors for those not
yet born who’ll one day cherish
romance too. “On fox-altars for fox
gods please take offerings of grain,
wine, olives”…The black smoke,
the blood, the charred wheat, the
crazed fur of immolation, grapes seething
of wrath: “Send the Philistines a
stark message- this is the stench,
of your greatest loss, of a (Hebrew
man’s) heart broken.”

------Judges 15:1-8
Later on, at the time of wheat harvest, Samson took a young goat and went to visit his wife. He said, “I’m going to my wife’s room.” But her father would not let him go in. “I was so sure you hated her,” he said, “that I gave her to your companion. Isn’t her younger sister more attractive? Take her instead.” Samson said to them, “This time I have a right to get even with the Philistines; I will really harm them.” So he went out and caught three hundred foxes and tied them tail to tail in pairs. He then fastened a torch to every pair of tails, lit the torches and let the foxes loose in the standing grain of the Philistines. He burned up the shocks and standing grain, together with the vineyards and olive groves. When the Philistines asked, “Who did this?” they were told, “Samson, the Timnite’s son-in-law, because his wife was given to his companion.” So the Philistines went up and burned her and her father to death.  Samson said to them, “Since you’ve acted like this, I swear that I won’t stop until I get my revenge on you.” He attacked them viciously and slaughtered many of them. Then he went down and stayed in a cave in the rock of Etam.

+------ Dancing With Wolves (Of Greatness); Joseph's Retelling Of His Dreams To His Brothers

Brothers, when I hear wolves howling
before we slumber, only a stone’s
throw from these tents, I haven’t any
fear… ‘tis an invitation
to abscond from prescibed ranks of humans.
In my dreams, their macabre
show of fangs like prophecy,
and growling, desire. So when we bind
sheaves of grain in fields I process
prey/predator. In all things the fur on
my neck stands erect, I visualize that
stark dichotomization; Noah sneering at all
all scoffers before the flood. And…I
don’t know what it all means, but in dreams
your sheaves always bow before
mine standing upright. You…the whole world
even…bows before me. The terror
of being hunted (by my destiny, greater).

------Genesis 37:3-7
Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old age; and he made an ornate robe for him. When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him. Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had: We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.”
