+------In A Basket Reborn; Paul's Thoughts While Being Lowered From A Wall In Damascus

As Christians lay cloaks
(my atonement for those lain
at my feet as Stephen was stoned)
over the lowered basket’s rim,
concealing the nape of my
neck, my head pressed
against my folded arms shaking:
Joseph of Arimathea rolling
the stone across the mouth of
Jesus’ tomb. His descent,
our descent. My soul wandering in
fear of Hades’ unknown; I watch
my whole life unfurled sequentially
like a scroll in 10 minutes’ span.
When I feel ground, I pull back my
shroud and gaze at the moon
commissioned to tell the world - night
is ending. The New Dawn…the
chance to live life again, fully…is here.

------Acts 9:21-25
But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ. And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him: But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.
Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.
