The NHL's Ark Of The Covenant Claimed #TonyandOvie #LetsGoCaps

+------------The NHL's Ark Of The Covenant Claimed

Alexander, the Stanley Cup, Ark
of the Covenant of hockey, resides
at Kiriath Jearim, city of players’
aspirations aloft on hills of ambition,
forested by competion’s desire.
So the Caps have assembled at Mizpah
(Washington, DC), drawing, pouring out
passion before fans nightly as holy
acts of dedication to God Of Victory;
warrior peoples on ice, of the blood
of Moses, of revolt in Egypt, intent on sovereign
“2017 Cup” reign; Barry Trotz, prophet,
draws plays as rallying cries, Samuel lifting
a suckling lamb as oblation for past losses.
And the rest of NHL teams are Philistines
drawing nigh to attack, unethical brutes
of high sticks, egregious body checks, icing.
But your slapshot is the Lord’s voice to them,
a loud thunder stirring hysteric panic. You and
Holtby on power plays like battalions of might
mauling and maurading goalies. Soon...the
whole league routed, slaughtered (in win/loss
statistics): chased below Beth Kar, borderland
of absolute fear, ineptitude.     #LETSGOCAPS

----------------1 Samuel 7:1-11
So the men of Kiriath Jearim came and took up the ark of the Lord. They brought it to Abinadab’s house on the hill and consecrated Eleazar his son to guard the ark of the Lord. The ark remained at Kiriath Jearim a long time—twenty years in all. Then all the people of Israel turned back to the Lord. So Samuel said to all the Israelites, “If you are returning to the Lord with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the Lord and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”  So the Israelites put away their Baals and Ashtoreths, and served the Lord only. Then Samuel said, “Assemble all Israel at Mizpah, and I will intercede with the Lord for you.” When they had assembled at Mizpah, they drew water and poured it out before the Lord. On that day they fasted and there they confessed, “We have sinned against the Lord.” Now Samuel was serving as leader of Israel at Mizpah. When the Philistines heard that Israel had assembled at Mizpah, the rulers of the Philistines came up to attack them. When the Israelites heard of it, they were afraid because of the Philistines. They said to Samuel, “Do not stop crying out to the Lord our God for us, that he may rescue us from the hand of the Philistines.” Then Samuel took a suckling lamb and sacrificed it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord. He cried out to the Lord on Israel’s behalf, and the Lord answered him. While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the Lord thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites.  The men of Israel rushed out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, slaughtering them along the way to a point below Beth Kar.

+--------Taylor Swift and Tony Conti's Starbucks Date; The Miracle In Capernaum

Taylor, my heart a Roman centurion
valorous; auspicious survivor of
dating attempts turned soul
skirmishes with soldier stab-girls with
tongues like swords just forged, spite-
spears of rejection that carve scars on my
psyche’s skin never scabbing. But now,
after many pained years, my hope,
loyal servant, has succumbed to
melancholy’s paralysis suffering terribly.
And I envision you hasting to him in
sympathy: tall, blonde haired, blue eyed
savior of charm in Capernaum- that
august city of your taste- of triumphal
arches with mosaics, carved inscriptions,
of basilicas with spiral staircases of
marble, of esplanades with palms. And I
know I don’t deserve you under my roof,
but if you took me to Starbucks-your
smile romantic spirit work, celestial, your
soft lips like angels in secret singing my
joy back to life- my soul would be healed.
For I have authority, and those dumb
girls have authority…but you
are greater than us all.

------Matthew 8:5-13
When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.” Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?” The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.

The Rungs Of Desire #IamJacob

+------------The Rungs Of Desire; The Thoughts Of Jacob At Luz (Bethel)

Sometimes the alabaster glow
of the moon - lust of wolves
hunting, lust of howling- conjures
the worst of my fears of being
childless. The pangs of descendant
desire like a ladder I erect in my
dreams by the sweat of my brow
extending itself to heaven, my
prayers angels delivering
impassioned pleas from me to God
restless, God back to me, tossing and
turning. My heart like a man at Heaven’s
Gate refusing to be turned away...
chanting “remember the promise
you made to Abraham and Isaac…please”

----------------Genesis 28:10-22
Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Harran. When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. There above it stood the Lord, and he said: “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring. I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.” Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it. He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called Luz. Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear so that I return safely to my father’s household, then the Lord will be my God and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God’s house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.”

Taylor Swift raising Tony Conti's Dating To Life Like a Daughter

+--------Taylor Swift raising Tony Conti's Dating To Life Like a Daughter

Taylor, my desire for you is a ruler
of a synagogue (of Moses’ ilk) fond
of espousing wisdom of love’s life, of
rudiments of couples' bliss philosophies,
hope brimming, yet inept when attempting
the complexities of the death of
dating - his sweet daughter (only 12) gone
too soon, succumbed to severe maladies
of romantic rejection.  And I dream of you
coming to save her, dashing down dirt
roads of my deep girlfriend yearnings
hastily,12 songs like 12 loyal men,
disciples, frayed sandals, with you always.
Your eyes blue as the lakes in heaven,
hair as blonde as gold nuggets mined
from Mt Horeb, and you’re tall. You’d say
(over Starbucks coffee) “Don’t be afraid
just believe, and she will be healed”: a kiss
from soft lips like soothing words of God.
Your smile calming “stop wailing”, your
laugh the assurance “she is not dead but
asleep…My child get up!” A date with you-
Dad, daughter reunited - me smiling widely

------Luke 8:4-56
Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him. Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying. As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.” But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.” Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother. Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.” They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!” Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.

A Foal's Altruism

+--------A Foal's Altruism; The Response Of Balaam's Donkey After He Struck Her For Lying Down Before An Angel

Balaam: I remember as a foal sucking
the breast, fur-raising stories
bandied about by my kin in fields-
of wolves, of wicked men with eyes
turned red, incandescent vile, murdering
random donkeys. They say braying,
howling, kicking, is all futility when the
sword of the death angel is unsheathed,
when his expression is callous, unfeeling-
the moon staring at the earth before
night tsunamis like cavalry on hilltops
rushing into sleeping villages bereft of
emotion due to past scars, and blood.
And I…I…just cant bring myself to let
you know what I know.

------Numbers 22:21-34
Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey and went with the Moabite officials. But God was very angry when he went, and the angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, it turned off the road into a field. Balaam beat it to get it back on the road. Then the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path through the vineyards, with walls on both sides. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it pressed close to the wall, crushing Balaam’s foot against it. So he beat the donkey again. Then the angel of the Lord moved on ahead and stood in a narrow place where there was no room to turn, either to the right or to the left. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it lay down under Balaam, and he was angry and beat it with his staff. Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam, “What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?” Balaam answered the donkey, “You have made a fool of me! If only I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now.” The donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?” “No,” he said. Then the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell facedown. The angel of the Lord asked him, “Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me. The donkey saw me and turned away from me these three times. If it had not turned away, I would certainly have killed you by now, but I would have spared it.” Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, “I have sinned. I did not realize you were standing in the road to oppose me. Now if you are displeased, I will go back.”

The NBA's John "Wall" Of Jericho #TonyandWall #DCrising

* Jesus pray for me

* Dedicated to #TonyandWall #JohnWall #DCrising

+------------The NBA's John "Wall" Of Jericho

John, next to you the entire
NBA is paranoid. A petrified plethora
of pagan peoples, Canaanites, crouched
and huddled together behind stacked
stone slats of ineptitude, (locker rooms
fearful) a legion of 5 soldiers at a time in
shining armor pristine, (on hardwood)
begging Baal, El, Mot for redemption- false
gods of rebounds, dunks, timeouts whenever
the Wizards are on the schedule. For your
passes are like 7 trumpets in the hands of
7 priests harmonizing playoff calamity.
When you earn triple doubles,
a brazen march by Hebrew peoples 7 times
around egos inflated horns blaring. When
you dunk, dashing across court, all walls
of hope topple. By season’s end, the Wizards
will invade, colonize the Promised land
(of an NBA championship); Slaughtering bad
basketball nations, their cattle, sheep, donkeys.

----------------Joshua 6:12-21
Joshua got up early the next morning and the priests took up the ark of the Lord. The seven priests carrying the seven trumpets went forward, marching before the ark of the Lord and blowing the trumpets. The armed men went ahead of them and the rear guard followed the ark of the Lord, while the trumpets kept sounding. So on the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. They did this for six days. On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times. The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city! The city and all that is in it are to be devoted to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid the spies we sent. But keep away from the devoted things, so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction and bring trouble on it. All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron are sacred to the Lord and must go into his treasury.” When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city. They devoted the city to the Lord and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys.

+--------Taylor Swift and Tony Conti's Love: A Mutual Baptism

Taylor, it was prophesied long ago my
yearning would precede you- dreams of us
dating: Zechariah, priest, unexpected
father of hope both bemused and elated,
singing so energetically of our fated love
incense burns the sash.
So I knew other girls would just be
locusts and wild honey of soul: cumbrous,
mostly unattainable, barely satisfying.
My self-esteem disheveled, disillusioned
like my heart donning an unsightly, stinking
robe of camel’s hair, wandering homeless
in Judea’s fringes preaching patience...
"repent for resentment!" But I always
envision you coming to me to suddenly. A
shapely silhouette accentuated before a sun
of my wonder. Your blonde hair, blue eyes
humble – but godly. Sandals of sweet
charm too sacrosanct to unlatch the thong.
To drink Starbucks with you'd be
Baptism in the Jordan – like you wading in
my grandiose fantasies below green tea’s
steam rising, descending a dove, bellowing
in baritone like God: "TAYTAY..."
“A princess in whom Im well pleased.”

------Matthew 3
In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
    make straight paths for him.’”
John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey. People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not think you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with[c] the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”
Jesus replied, “Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

In Heaven

And I knew too well, then, glares
of the gilded, sharp barbs
of pointed protrusions on gate latches
of the “civilized rich”. The inflexibility of
the rusted hinges of the 1%,
metal flakes on my palms for clenching
dreams of food too tightly. The piety of
beasts merciful: licking my sores
whilst the pompous preened, sauntered
past scowling, scoffing with sarcasm.
But I don’t think about that now,
my head on the warm bosom of a
man who whispers to me “God is
always good to the poor in spirit
in the end.” My heart is full, finally.

----------------Luke 16:19-31
“There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’ “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

And Kirk by now we know you’ve seen,

galling apocalyptic seals opened, the
trumpets of archangels blown upon Roger
Goodell’s gridironed earth- 7 plagues
of a grueling NFC East schedule: the afflicting
tension of success/failing, the poor officiating,
the mark of the barbaric beast of concussions,
666. Lockeroom weeping, teeth gnashing. Today
Eli Manning amasses his teammates as
multitudinous as sand on the seashore. Armies
of Gog and Magog waiting to march 1,000
years, spear-tips of eternal scorn before
their eyes: coaches’ playbooks of demonic
fury. Horse-collar tackles, helmet to helmet
hits as swords and shields of fallen angels.
He stares across the Lake of Fire of Loss, Satan
pondering the season finale, Redskins vs Giants,
epic last battle for playoff afterlives- good vs evil.
Victor flings defeated in burning sulfur waves of
a wasted season. Hail. To. The. Redskins.

----------------Revelation 20:7-10
When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
